The Lifestyle Medicine track was started so residents can learn to prevent or treat disease by helping patients make changes to their lifestyle. These changes can include diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management.  Utilizing the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine curriculum, residents are eligible for full certification through the experiential pathway pending completion of modules and patient experiences by the time of graduation.

Highlights of the Lifestyle Medicine track include:

• Lifestyle medicine elective rotations, with built-in time to complete curriculum and requirements for certification
• Lead and shape curriculum for group visits with patients who attend the monthly Lifestyle/Diabetes afternoon classes/sessions
